Exhibition Review 3

On thursday I went to the ICA to see "THE MISADVENTURES OF A 21ST-CENTURY NATURALIST" in the West gallery by Mark Zion. Based on his 30 years of traveling and pioneering inquiries into how we collect, interpret, and display nature, its curious and explorative nature reminded me of The Anatomy of Wishes. This exhibit definitely was one of the coolest I've seen by far. It was just a modge podge of curiosity and excitement in on a really large scale. The exhibits were a mix of sculptures, photography, and design. It was amazing how interactive everything was. It put you right in the shoes with the artist and made you feel like you were actually traveling the same places as him through your walk through the gallery. It's easy to forget you're actually in Boston during the walk. Although Zions work was varied in terms of what he presented, each piece gave off the same feelings of curiosity and excitement - from the childs room that's covered in dinosaurs, to the walk in birdcage/library.
